SMOK Novo and Novo 2 Comparison
SMOK Novo
Comparison - Which one is better?
Hot on the heels of the super impressive and popular Novo pod system comes the brand new SMOK Novo 2. Some vapers experienced issues with the original Novo, so SMOK pulled out all the stops for electronic cigarette users. Before we dive into all the great new features, let's take a look at the handy SMOK Novo quick comparison table below.

What's New in the SMOK
Novo 2?
The best new feature of the SMOK Novo 2 is its new battery size. Although there's no noticeable change in physical size, SMOK managed to almost double the battery capacity. From the original Novo's 450 mAh battery, the SMOK Novo 2 boasts a super generous 800 mAh. This is a good enough boost for those who generally use salt nic e-liquid pod mods for all-day vaping. SMOK claims on their website that the Novo 2 can be vaped for 3 days after a full charge (with approximately 200 puffs per day). Impressive stuff for such a small pod vape. (Let's not forget, the primary preference for pod mod e-cigarettes is high salt nicotine liquid for less usage and less liquid consumption.)
Some vapers experienced an issue with the draw activation sensor on the original Novo, so SMOK completely redesigned it. The sensor is located next to the U-shaped airflow intake and now protrudes from the battery contact plane to prevent non-contact drawing. We've been using the Novo 2 for over a week and haven't had any firing issues, so credit goes to SMOK for implementing this fix.
New Novo
Airflow Design
Just like the SMOK Nord, the Novo 2 has a small airflow slot on both sides of the mod. This draws air under the coil before it passes up to the mouthpiece. Despite this update, the draw on the SMOK Novo 2 is still noticeably tighter than the Nord. This is an important feature for those looking for a vaping experience similar to smoking.
SMOK Novo Pod
System
Sometimes pod systems have issues with condensation. To solve this, SMOK created two grooves on both sides of the battery connectors. With the Novo 2, any condensation generated during vaping is locked in the grooves, allowing it to dissipate smoothly.
New LED
Indicator
One of the main complaints about the original Novo was the lack of any indication of the battery level, so SMOK went back to the drawing board once again. The SMOK Novo 2 has a small light indicator on the front of the device that glows when vaping. This way, you can easily see how much charge you have left when you're vaping. The light glows green for 70% charge or more, orange between 30-70%, and red when it's 30% or less. A small change, but it made a big difference.
Smok Novo 2 Power Range
The output wattage on the SMOK Novo 2 is another big change. Previously, the wattage range on the original was 10-16W, but on the Novo 2, the wattage varied between 6W and 25W. With an optimized charging port and improved motherboard structure, SMOK created a combination of high performance and longer battery life. Here at trelektroniksigara, we like to keep the Novo 2 with a green charging light for optimal performance levels. However, performance remains excellent even down to red.

Is the new Novo 2 better than the first Novo model?
Yes. It is better in almost every way and definitely worth the small price difference.
